[Things We Adore Sunday] Adorable Bike Bags, Camera Bags, Cupcakes, and Garden Blogs
1. 72 Degrees in San Francisco in February. Let me just say I adore that more than anything else on earth.
2. With the beautiful weather comes the need for beautiful bike bags from Collina Strada (I love that this is a one-woman show as well). I don't want. I need. But first, I need a new bike.
3. Adorable camera bags from Jo Totes. Again, NEED.

[Food + Drink Wednesdays] Weekly Produce News Bites from Draeger's
![]() |
| These are from Peru, which is kiiiinda far. |
It's also a shame that there is no RSS feed for the Draeger's Produce News Bites because I want daily updates on the quality and sourcing of my produce. No joke. Also, you've just gotta love the funny descriptions and puns that sometimes slip in.
I also love the Fruit of the Month postings.
Yes, there is officially something wrong with me.
[Food + Drink Wednesdays] Lavender
I'm obsessed.
"Together, the sunny citrus and floral lavender evoked spring very strongly. And when combined in a easy, dreamy cake, the flavors could cheer up a dull winter day. They might even deceive you into thinking Spring has already arrived."
"There is a certain sophistication added to food + drink when a touch of lavender is worked into the recipe... Mix in a dash of honey + cream, and you’ll soon be experiencing a taste of the Spring botanicals that will be budding in the not too distant future."

[Scissors + Glue] Refurbishing Crappy Old Desks
I am so inspired by Project ReStyle and all the cool things you can do with the most unpredictable of objects. This comes just in time, too, since I just moved into a new house in San Francisco. My mission: re-style a lovely desk where I can write, study, and memorize ridiculous vocabulary words like "inchoative" and "pusillanimous" (which is a synonym for "craven" and an antonym for "plucky", in case you were wondering).
Here are a few of the blogs I've been going to for inspiration on this project. I'm currently in the process of finding said crappy old desk, so I can sand it, re-paint it, give it some new hardware, and love it to death. Now I'm just wondering what type of paint to use so that the color and texture will really make the wood stand out.

[Get Involved Tuesdays] Habitat for Humanity
I just learned on Saturday that Habitat for Humanity is the third most recognized name in non-profit organizations (the first is Red Cross and the second is Doctors Without Borders), so I really don't need to bring more awareness to the organization itself.
But what I do want to say is that volunteering for Habitat is ALWAYS a fun experience, no matter what kind of work you're doing. It's all about spending the day with people who care about others and spending that time using your energy for someone else's benefit. It's not too often we do that when a paycheck is not involved.
So take the time to sign up to volunteer with Habitat, no matter where you are in the world. It only takes one day of your time, and I promise you'll sleep well after you're done hauling all that concrete/painting that house/installing insulation/who knows what else.
