Anatomy of a 20-Something's Dinner Party

Last week, my friends and I had a dinner party/BBQ in the sunshine. It is rarely so warm in San Francisco as it has been the last two weeks, and we just had to celebrate. Everyone brought a dish that they knew how to make easily (we had homemade guacamole and salsa, salads, macaroni and cheese, vegetarian chili, and some miso chicken), I threw a seasonal fruit tart in the oven, and my roommates provided the mojitos/beer and lots more food. It was a great way to have everyone share the responsibility of cooking. And there was minimal waste, since people pretty much ate every last bit of the food we had.

I expect many more of these shenanigans in the coming (hopefully warm) months.

much love,
